AI Chatbot Supporting
Multiple Languages

ChattyBox officially localizes its widget UI in 14 languages. Your source-content language, visitor questions, retrieval results, and answer quality are separate concerns—validate each one before a multilingual launch.

14 Officially Localized Widget UI Languages

These are the languages with reviewed hosted-widget interface translations. They are not a count of languages in which every source, retrieval result, or model answer is guaranteed to perform the same way.

Widget UI localization includes interface copy and accessibility text. Set the page language and choose automatic detection or a fixed locale in the widget configuration; it does not translate or quality-assure the content you index.

Multilingual Capability Matrix

Use this matrix to distinguish the localized interface from the content and AI behavior your team must evaluate for its own audience.

Multilingual Launch Checklist

A production launch should prove the experience for each intended locale, not infer answer quality from a translated interface.

  • Set the correct <html lang> value for each localized page and configure the widget’s automatic or fixed UI locale deliberately.
  • Include the public, crawlable language versions of docs, help articles, policies, and FAQs that should support answers.
  • Use a sitemap or a reviewed URL list, then confirm that each intended language version was indexed.
  • Test representative customer questions, unsupported questions, and follow-ups in every language you plan to launch.
  • Check that answers are useful, citations support the claim, and source links open the expected language version.
  • Review live questions by language after launch and re-scrape when translated source content changes.

For implementation details, see the widget language settings, content scraping guide, and the launch checklist.

Multilingual Chatbot FAQ

Clear boundaries for teams evaluating an AI chatbot for a multilingual website, help center, or documentation site.

What do the 14 officially supported languages cover?

They cover the hosted widget interface: labels, buttons, system messages, placeholders, and accessibility text. The count does not promise that your source content or AI answer quality is identical in every language.

Can ChattyBox answer in languages outside the official widget UI list?

The model may understand and generate answers in additional languages, but those languages are not officially localized or quality-assured by this page. We do not promise a tested answer-language count beyond the 14 widget UI languages; test your real content, questions, and citations before relying on another locale in production.

Which language should my website and documentation source content use?

Use the language versions you expect visitors to read and make those pages public, crawlable, and included in your scrape. Better source coverage in the visitor’s language gives retrieval stronger material to cite; ChattyBox does not replace missing translated documentation.

Will a question in one language always retrieve sources in that language?

No. Retrieval and model output can vary by the visitor’s wording, the indexed content, and model behavior. Test both same-language and cross-language questions, then verify that the citations and answers meet your release standard.
